HUKM

The Pharmacy Department of UKM Medical Centre will be organizing a "Counseling Week" with the theme "Medicines and YOU" as part of its community project to promote healthy living and increase awareness regarding all forms of medicine.

Free health screening such as blood pressure, sugar nd body fat composition monitoring will be provided on a first-come-first serve basis. Participants will also have the opportunity to seek specialized counseling on medications, smoking cessation and others from on-duty pharmacist, qualified dietitians and experienced physiotherapist.

Several interesting public forum has also been lined-up at daily for example:

• "Know your pharmacist" by Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society (3/8/09)

• Exercise demonstrations for the elderly and tips on losing weight by Physiotherapists (4/8/09),

All participants are encouraged to bring their medications from home when speaking to pharmacists.

Venue is at Main Lobby, UKMMC from 3/8/09- 7/8/09 daily 9am-3pm.
